Amortization (Mortgage)

Mortgage loans follow this type of repayment schedule. Monthly payments remain the same for the life of the loan, but more of that payment goes toward interest at first. Over time, the amount paid toward the principal gradually increases. And paying off principal faster is where it’s at.
