Gift Letter

If you get a little financial help from your friends or family, you’ll need a gift letter. It lets the lender know that you don’t need to repay the money. Otherwise, the “gift” could count as debt, lowering the amount of loan you might qualify for. You don’t want to turn your gift horse into a Trojan horse.
